Police link Spanish Town shooting to freed alleged Clansman member

Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson has indicated, that one of the alleged members of the Clansman Gang, who had recently been freed by the court, and taken back into police custody yesterday, may be connected to the shooting incident in Spanish Town, on Tuesday.

Damaine Elleston, was arrested during a targeted operation in Dam Head, St. Catherine.

Commissioner Anderson said the shootings in Spanish Town, are as a result of gang warfare.

Two persons were killed by alleged gunmen; while, another person was fatally shot by cops.

Commissioner Anderson said 3 guns were recovered during the incident.

He assured that the police will continue efforts to disrupt gangs, seize illegal guns, and arrest alleged criminals, especially repeat offenders.
