Amendments are to be made to the new Road Traffic act and accompanying regulations, relating to child restraint systems.

 

The announcement was made this afternoon by Prime Minister Andrew Holness, following deliberations on the issue by the executive during the cabinet retreat.

 

It comes in the wake of complaints by taxi operators that the requirement for a child restraint system is impractical.
