Seven (7) people were shot, 1 fatally in Bridgewater, Westmoreland, this morning.

The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Lashlaroo Shaw, otherwise called “Paye” and “Worm” of Belfont, in St. James.

The incident reportedly occurred at around 9:40 am.

Head of the Westmoreland Police, Senior Superintendent Wayne Josephs said persons were carrying out cleaning up activities following an illegal party, when gunmen drove up and opened fire hitting Shaw and 6 other persons.

Meantime, SSP Josephs said the police will be targetting persons hosting illegal parties.
