Former West Indies women all rounder Deandra Dottin, in a stinging revelation, says players are not getting support and respect from West Indies Cricket.

She made the revelation while issuing a warning to Cricket West Indies to get their house in order quickly or risk things “not ending well”.

Speaking in detail for the first time since her shock international retirement, Dottin told the ‘ladies who switch’ podcast that the board has a lot of work to do for the game to improve in the region.

Dottin also said players were under-resourced and were considering not representing the region but instead to play in overseas domestic tournaments.

Dottin last year announced her international retirement via twitter, citing issues with the team environment while representing Barbados at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. 

Her international career spanned 143 one day internationals and 127 T/20 internationals over the course of 14 years which included the 2016 T/20 world title and the fastest – and first – century in Women’s T/20 internationals, off 38 balls against South Africa in 2010.
