UPDATE: Staff members at Caribbean Products Ltd vow to stay off the job until flexi-work-schedule is withdrawn by management

Staff members at Caribbean Products Company Limited are eagerly awaiting a response from the company’s management regarding the implementation of a flexible-work-arrangement.

The workers, who have withdrawn their services today (July 3) are upset that the implementation was done without the company properly engaging with them on the matter.

Island Supervisor for Industrial Relations at the National Workers Union, Kurt Fletcher told IRIE FM news that workers who refuse to comply with the flexible-work-schedule, which comes into effect today, were told their positions would be made redundant.

He explained that the workers are not against a flexi-work-arrangement but are not pleased with the company’s approach to implementing it.

Mr Fletcher said the workers will stay off the job until the flexi-work-schedule is withdrawn, and an agreement is reached by both parties.
