Commander for police Area 5, Assistant Commissioner Gary Griffiths has chided Jamaicans for not showing enough respect and support for the nation’s police officers.

Speaking at the thanksgiving service for the late constable Justin Martin, ACP Griffiths lamented that too many officers are disrespected by citizens.

He said some citizens go as far as to support and protect criminals.

ACP Griffiths lamented that too many officers are losing their lives to criminals.

He urged citizens to support the work of the police.
