Education Minister Fayval Williams has committed to several safety and security upgrades for the Ocho Rios Primary School in St. Ann.

Mrs. Williams visited the institution yesterday, following Monday’s incident where more than 60 children fell ill, after consuming drug-infused sweets sold to them by a vendor.

Addressing stakeholders at the institution, the Education Minister committed to repairing the school’s perimeter fence and providing security cameras for the institution.

She also committed to removing the school from its current shift system.
