Education Minister urges parents not to be hard on children who did not achieve desired results in CXC exams

Education Minister Fayval Williams has urged parents not to be too hard on their children for not achieving desired results in the recent Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) assessments.

The results of the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) and the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) tests were released on Friday night.

Speaking at a back-to-school board chairmen roundtable recently, Mrs. Williams urged parents to continue providing support instead of criticizing their children.

Meantime, the Education Minister indicated that the CSEC and CAPE results for Jamaica were being analyzed, and she would be hosting a press conference once this process is complete.
