Jamaican race driver Fraser Mcconnell wins Scottish Leg of the 2023 extreme E-championship

Jamaican race driver Fraser Mcconnell is in a celebratory mood having teamed up with Spaniard Cristina Gutierrez to win the Grand final on day one of the Scottish Leg of the 2023 extreme E-championship …….the Hydro X Prix at Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland

The 24 year old who represents the x44 vida carbon racing team owned by seven time Formula One champion Sir Lewis Hamilton, had entered the final with the fastest time having won the second qualifying session after Q1 was abandoned due to poor visibility caused by thick and heavy fog.

McConnell and Gutierez by virtue of today’s run are up to third on the championship standings on 49 points….7 behind leaders ‘Sainz xe’ that’s owned by former two-time world rally champion Carlos Sainz.

Both will return to action on tomorrow’s final day of the two-day event.
