A man was shot dead and his son wounded by gunmen who reportedly invaded their home in Mile Gully, Manchester, yesterday (October 07).

Dead is 41-year-old Jermaine Evans otherwise called ‘Denny’, a mason of Inglewood District, in Mile Gully.

His 9-year-old son remains hospitalized in serious condition.  

Reports are that about 1:00 a.m., the father and son were at home sleeping when armed men broke into their home.

Further reports are that the armed men opened fire hitting the 2 several times. 

The police were alerted and both wounded persons were taken to hospital.

Evans died on arrival while his son is being treated. 

Investigations are on-going.
