Opposition Leader warns issues facing Jamaica’s education system could cause profound implications

Opposition Leader, Mark Golding has warned that the issues facing Jamaica’s education system could cause serious implications for its potential.

Mr. Golding issued the warning at a People’s National Party (PNP) constituency conference at the Buff Bay Primary School in Portland on Sunday (August 27).

He stressed that special focus must be placed on early childhood development and primary school systems in the country.

He also called for a comprehensive programme of remediation for young people.
