Drivers of public passenger vehicles will have to be certified before they are eligible to receive a licence from the Island Traffic Authority.

That’s according to Transport Minister Daryl Vaz.

Mr Vaz said this will be done to ensure that all operators of public transportation vehicles drive safely.

He said people should not be questioning how a driver received his or her licence when they are using the road.
