Security specialist Robert Finzi-Smith has said that the Public Passenger Vehicle sector, has suffered more from crime than any other sector in the country.

Speaking at a Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services, (Todss) virtual forum Mr. Smith noted that 69 taxi drivers have been killed, since the start of the year.

He said if the deaths were for persons in other types of professions, which are held in higher regard actions would have been taken a long time ago to stem the blood letting.

He linked the inaction to the stigmatisation of taxi drivers.
