Contract killers now seeking clients for as low as $15,000 – Commissioner Anderson

Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson said the police have noticed that contract killers are no longer waiting on people to hire them, but are instead approaching persons and offering their services.

Speaking at a media briefing by the constabulary force today, the police chief said in a number of communities, the killers are targeting persons with family disputes and offering their services for as low as $15,000.

He warned that people involved in contract killings will face the full force of the law.

He noted that there has been an increase in interpersonal conflicts which lead to murders.

In St. Mary for example, where there has been a massive increase in murders so far this year, compared to last year, Major General Anderson said over 50 percent of these crimes are linked to interpersonal conflicts .
