Fred Kerley to be coached by Olympian Quincy Watts

Tokyo  Olympics  100  metres  silver  medallist  Fred  Kerley  has  announced  a  coaching  change  ahead  of   the  Paris  2024  Olympics.

Kerley  posted on social media that he is now being coached by the 1992 Olympic 400m gold medalist Quincy Watts, an assistant at the University of California who also guides the career of world and Olympic silver medalist Rai Benjamin.

Kerley who won the world 100 metres  title in eugene last year failed to live up to his pre-championship hype as his compatriot Noah Lyles won both the 100 and 200m titles  at  the  recent  World  Championships  in  Budapest .

The 28-year-old Texan,   previously trained under Grenada’s Alleyne Francique since he sprinted for Texas A&M University.
