West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach has called on the international Cricket Council (ICC) to do more to preserve test cricket for more than just the financially secure cricket nations.

The 35 year old seam bowler confessed that he believes a younger generation of players have  already lost their love for the longest form of cricket, with the lucrative option of T/20 Franchise cricket being the preferred option.  

He added that the gap between test matches for smaller nations like the  west indies makes it difficult economically for players to remain committed. 

Roach, who sits fifth on west indies’ all time test wicket-takers’ list with 265 wickets, will next don the maroon colours of the West Indies when the Caribbean side travel down under to Australia in January for two test matches in Adelaide and Brisbane .

His complained that his last test was back in July and the gap between Test matches are just too fee and far between for the so called , smaller test playing Nations.
