Reggae Girls and JFF to meet to iron out differences on Friday

Another attempt to iron out the standoff between the Reggae Girls and the Jamaica Football Federation  will take place this Friday when both parties come together at the table in the eagerly anticipated new year’s meeting. 

Last year the senior reggae girls who played at the FIFA Women’s World Cup , rejected a call up by the national federation to play in the 2024 Concacaf Women’s Gold Cup qualifiers, citing lack of communication and mistreatment among other things. 

A recent meeting between both the world cup squad and the JFF, was not completed, and both groups were said to meet again in mid -December , but the second meeting failed to materialize. 

Come this weekend the girls backed by  – the global players union FIFPRO will be pushing to get all outstanding issues cleared up and jff general secretary Dennis Chung told Irie Fm sports that as far as he and his organization are concerned the meeting is still on. 

Chung further added that with all outstanding monies paid to the girls, the other issues to be discussed will be raised by the players.
