ETOC urges government to move quickly to transform Education Sector

 

The Education Transformation Oversight Committee (ETOC) is urging the government to improve the pace at which it’s implementing measures that will lead to the transformation of the Education Sector.

 

While he commended the Education Ministry for working to implement some of the recommendations of the ‘Reform of Education in Jamaica 2021 Report’, ETOC Chairman Dr. Adrian Stokes, noted that there are areas for improvement.

 

 

Dr.Stokes wants the ministry to undertake a robust education campaign informing citizens about the transformation process.

 

 

He added that efforts must also be taken to strengthen the leadership pool and resources at the Education Ministry to drive the implementation plan.
