JTA President, Lasonja Harrison and several educators in St Elizabeth visited the Retirement Primary School today (October 24) to show solidarity with the staff after the school’s principal, Ann-Marie Terelonge was attacked and chopped by a man at the institution, last Friday.

The Principal is being treated at hospital.

Mrs Harrison, who was speaking with IRIE FM news, says it seems teachers’ lives are not so important.

She says there are too many challenges facing the sector for people to become complacent.

Members of the Education Ministry were also at the school to provide psycho-social support for students and staff.
